The depth of my pain doesn't show.

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS): is defined as the sudden death of an Infant under one year of age which remains unexplained after performance of a complete autopsy, examination of the death scene and review of the case history. (NICHD 1990) _________________________________________________________________
WHAT SIDS IS;

SIDS is a definite medical entity and is a major cause of death in infants after the first week of life.

Roughly 3,000 SIDS deaths occur annually in the US approximately one every 3 hours. The peak incidence is between two and five months of age.

SIDS occurs at all social and economic levels.

SIDS victims appeared to be healthy prior to death.

SIDS probably has more than one cause although the final process appears to be similar.

death occurs very rapidly, usually during periods of sleep.

At this time SIDS cannot be PREDICTED or PREVENTED, but placing a baby on its back CAN reduce the risk of SIDS.		   WHAT SIDS IS NOT;

SIDS is not caused by external suffocation.

SIDS is not caused by the type of feeding method used.

SIDS is not caused by immunization.

SIDS is not caused by child abuse or neglect.

SIDS is not caused by vomiting or choking.

SIDS is not contagious and it is not infectious.

SIDS dose not cause pain or suffering to the infant.

SIDS does not appear to be hereditary.

What's a Mother?
I thought of you all, I closed my eyes and prayed to God today.
I asked what makes a Mother and I know I heard him say,
A Mother has a baby. This we know is true.
But God, can you be a Mother when your baby's not with you?
"Yes you can!” He replied with confidence in His voice,
"I give many women babies, when they leave is not their choice."
Some I send for a lifetime and others for a day.
And some I send to feel your womb but there's no need to stay.
I don't understand this God, I want my baby here.
He took a breath and cleared his throat and then I saw a tear.
I wish I could show you what your child is doing today.
If you could see your child smile with other children and say,
"We go to earth to learn our lessons of love and life and fear.
My mommy loved me oh so much I got to come straight here.
I feel so lucky to have a Mommy who had so much love for me
I learned my lesson very quick. My mommy set me free.
I miss my mommy oh so much but I visit her each day.
When she goes to sleep on her pillow's where I lay.
I stroke her hair and kiss her cheek and whisper in her ear,
Mommy don't be sad today I'm your baby and I'm here."
So you see my dear sweet one, your children are okay.
Your babies are here in my home and this is where they'll stay.
They'll wait for you with me until your lesson is through.
And on that day that you come home they'll be at the gates for you.
So now you see what makes a mother. It's the feeling in your heart.
It's the love you have so much of, right from the start.
Though some on earth may not realize that you are a Mother until their time is done, they'll be up here with me one day and
know you're the best one.

There are many times during the day Jacob is Heavily on my mind and many times there is no one for me to talk to about him. No one wants to talk about his short life and it is to sad for them to hear it from me. So I turn to reading others story's of their little Angles. Story's that I find on memorial pages. I have learned a grate deal about sudden infant death, from the links below. Things I wish I knew more about before December 13, 2003. I wish to share some of the links with anyone willing to read about Sudden infant death. I feel everyone needs to know more about the leading cause of Death for our young baby's. Sleepy time Care Bear
I purchased Jacob two Halloween out fits one was the tiger and the other was a sleeper
A Sleepy time Care Bear Sleeper
He used the sleepy time Care Bear for Just Sleeping in It was really cute.
I never got a picture of him in it. After his death I purchased A sleepy time Care Bear to be placed on an area for Jacob. He now has a few different bears from Ty and the birthday bear.
Easter is my favorite Holiday and it will be very hard only getting Jacob flowers. I feel like I need to get him something, I guess that will never go away.
